Frequently Asked Questions
Any Indian citizen aged 18 years or above is eligible for a Voter ID. If you complete 18 by January 1, you can apply in advance. NRI Indians can also register as overseas voters using Form 6A.
After the online application, a BLO (Booth Level Officer) visits your address for verification. Once verification is cleared, the EPIC card (Electors Photo Identity Card) is generally delivered by Speed Post within 30–45 working days.
Submit Form 8 on the Voter Portal with supporting documents. For address correction, provide a new address proof (Aadhaar or electricity bill). For name correction, a gazette notification or passport is required. Our experts will guide you on WhatsApp.
Submit Form 8 on the Voter Portal for a duplicate EPIC card. No FIR is required — only Aadhaar and a photo. After the application, a new card arrives by Speed Post within 15–30 days.
When you shift to a new constituency, you need to submit a fresh Form 6 application in the new area (your name will also be deleted from the old constituency). If only the address changes within the same constituency, Form 8 is sufficient. Our expert will identify the correct form for you.
The Election Commission has provided an option to link Voter ID with Aadhaar — it is voluntary, not mandatory. Submit Form 6B on the Voter Portal to complete the linking. Our experts can guide you through this as well.
