Amazon Seller Account Setup

For an individual seller: PAN card, Aadhaar card, bank account with IFSC, mobile number, and email. For a business/company seller: additionally GST registration certificate, business registration proof (Pvt Ltd, LLP, or Sole Proprietorship certificate), and authorized signatory documents. GST is mandatory if your annual turnover exceeds ₹40 lakh.

GST registration is mandatory if you sell taxable goods on Amazon India and your turnover exceeds ₹40 lakh (₹20 lakh for special category states). If you sell only GST-exempt goods, you may not need GST registration. However, most product categories on Amazon require GST. We can also help you get GST registration if you don't have one.

FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) means you send inventory to Amazon warehouses — Amazon handles storage, packaging, and shipping, giving you Prime badge. MFN (Merchant Fulfilled Network) means you ship orders yourself with full control. Easy Ship means you store inventory and Amazon courier picks up from your location. Amazon seller account registration and KYC verification typically takes 3–5 business days after all documents are submitted. Sometimes Amazon requires additional verification which can take up to 7–10 days. Our team handles all follow-ups with Amazon to ensure the fastest possible activation.

Amazon Brand Registry is a program for sellers who own a registered trademark. It gives you access to A+ Content, Sponsored Brand ads, Brand Analytics, and protection against counterfeit products. If you have or plan to get a trademark, Brand Registry is highly recommended. We assist with both trademark registration and Amazon Brand Registry enrollment.

Amazon charges a monthly subscription fee of ₹999 + GST for professional sellers. Referral fees range from 2% to 40% depending on category (most categories 5–15%). Most product categories are open for all sellers. Some categories are 'gated' (restricted) and require prior approval — these include Jewelry, Health, Beauty, Grocery, Watches, and Automotive. Approval requires invoices from authorized distributors and sometimes brand authorization letters. We help you get category approval for gated categories.

Amazon disburses payments to your registered bank account every 7 days. Payments are deposited directly — you can track earnings in your Seller Central dashboard. Amazon deducts referral fees, FBA fees, and any chargebacks before disbursement. We set up your bank account correctly during account setup to ensure smooth payment flow.

A+ Content allows brand-registered sellers to add rich media content to product listings — comparison tables, lifestyle images, brand story sections, and infographics. Studies show A+ Content increases conversion rates by 3–10% and reduces return rates. It is available free for brand-registered sellers and is included in our Standard and Advanced plans.
